Kartika’s caning to depend on decision of Syariah Court Appeals panel
KUANTAN: The Pahang Islamic Religious Department (Jaip) is prepared to proceed with the caning of part-time model Kartika Sari Dewi Shukarno, 32, after Hari Raya Aidil-fitri.
JAIP Director Datuk Abdul Manan Abdul Rahman said the implementation of the punishment, however, would depend on the review by the Kuantan Syariah High Court Appeals Panel which was expected to be concluded after Raya.
He said the decision on the review would be announced by the Pahang Syaria Chief Judge Datuk Abdul Hamid Abdul Rahman.
On July 20, Kartika Sari Dewi was fined RM5,000 and ordered to receive six strokes of the cane by the Syariah High Court here after pleading guilty to consuming alcohol at a hotel at 11.40pm on July 11, 2008.
However, on Aug 24, the sentence had to be postponed out of respect for the month of Ramadan and the decision was criticised by various quarters.
“Society does not understand the difference between the syaria caning which aims to educate the offender, and civil caning which is most painful to the offender, ” he told reporters after a function here yesterday. — Bernama

Ducthlady Milk New Look

Movie: NEW FINAL DESTINATION 2009
ITs come back..!!
Final Destination is a horror and supernatural thriller, and the forth film in the Final Destination series distributed by New Line Cinema. The film was directed and written by David R. Ellis.
I cant watch the movie but still look forward it. Always waiting what's next but still feel ..huh (sigh)..scared..

HOW TO HELP CHILDREN FROM STAMMER/STUTTER (GAGAP)
Dear Readers,
I have a problem when my daughter 3yrs old (this coming Merdeka Day), start speaking hesitantly, stammer.
i try to find out : What is stammering?
Stammering or stuttering is characterised by unusually frequent repeating or prolonging of sounds or words. The child may struggle to speak which can lead to anxiety, distress or reluctance to speak.
Now i know what to do with my lovely daughter when i read & understand from www.stammering.org/referral.
Why early referral?
Early referral is desirable because:
Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) needs to evaluate the risk of persistent stammering. If the child seems low risk they will monitor progress, if high risk they will intervene.
Provides support for parents and carers.
Intervention close to onset takes less therapy time and can prevent later psychological difficulties.
Empowers parents and other key workers.
Hope parents who have same problem with me can share your experinced here to help our childrens. Thanks.
